BLUEPRINT

Imagine a map of your best traits,

Most outstanding characteristics and minor flaws.

A specimen so beautiful you could never dream up,

Or even will into existence.

Every fiber unique to the individual design.

Our children are our blueprint for the future,

And the imprints of our past.

They hold in their genes the very fabric of our DNA,

And evolve into the best version of ourselves.

You reap what you sow, especially into your kids.

From ingredients of love, patience, and understanding,

Can sprout the most beautiful gardens.

However, rains of chaos and hatred breed cycles of destruction.

Innocently entering an unforgiving world,

Our children can either be the catalyst for change,

Or the fire that left uncontained, will burn it down.

Generational struggles can end if we equip children

With the proper values and kindness beyond compare.

But healing will never happen if we suffocate Our little blessings with wrongs of the past,

And not breathe the fresh air.
