We all say hurtful things so…
It’s alright!
We all get annoyed when a nerve is hit so…
It’s ok!
We are all struggling, therefore I’m allowed to react…
It’s alright…it’s ok…
You reacting to your hurt by causing me pain is ok, Because you’ve excused yourself From the responsibility of consequences.
It’s alright, Because your excuse has absolved you From seeking my forgiveness.
Every action has an equal yet opposite reaction,
And everyone is not built the same.
As a result, the blows you take in vain, May provide just enough force to break my mane.
SILENCE DOES NOT MEAN CONSENT!!!
I do not accept your after thought of an apology.
When you chose to relieve yourself of hurt by causing me pain,
Failed to control yourself by telling me you’ve always been the same
Inconsiderate, ill tempered person, who allows frustration to make you untame.
However, I would like to apologize... For not standing my ground,
For allowing your anger to unruffle my feathers; I’ve been desperately trying to keep calm,. For allowing your abusive words to silence me when you choose not to listen,
And for constantly making myself small so you may remain as big as you have puffed yourself up to be.
I truly love the person God created you to be,
But I refuse to let your rage entrap me.
So, I forgive you for your selfishness and ignorance.
However, the privileged access you had to me, is now denied.
It’s not alright to hurt the ones closest in proximity to you.
It’s not ok to allow your emotions to overrun reason.
It’s not alright… It’s not ok… So you no longer have the power to treat me this way.
Who hurts you the most?
Family members?
Friends?
Partners?
Other?
